Koncert in Glisno Wielkie

Our "koncert" in Glisno was the most bizarre and wonderful event, let alone gig, I have ever been too. Bogdan had decided we would “play koncert in glisno”. He then took to promoting the gig in all the surrounding towns and villages. The venue was outside the sklep (the only shop in town). The 4 fireman of the town came to do security. For a while I wasn't sure anyone was going to show up but by the time it came for us to play at least 200 people had arrived. At least half had walked miles from surrounding towns and villages. A majority of the crowd were either under 15 or over 50, kids or farmers. But there were definitely a few hipsters there. They were a great crowd. We had visuals going on the wall behind us and at one point there were visuals of Glisno and everyone was cheering and happy.

When we stopped playing we were all surrounded by about 15 kids each and some adults asking us for autographs. It was so hilarious. Kids asked us to write on their backs, sign their t-shirts. I even signed some guy’s cell phone. It was completely surreal and I am sure the first and last time we will be asked to do that. We actually sold a bunch of CD's which I would not have expected. It was pretty amazing to see how they responded to our music. I think it is safe to say they don’t get to much exposure to our kind of music in Glisno and they were all really excited and enthusiastic about it.

We were really sad to say goodbye to Glisno. The show was our gift to the town and they totally received it. We had all the children waving our van goodbye when we left and I was near tears to say goodbye to our polish mama and papa. Next we had to drive to Frankfurt to get our gear hire and then on to Sweden for the way out west festival.
